BettyB was inspired as a young girl by her French grandmother, a former seamstress for Madeleine Vionnet and Coco Chanel. This early influence combined with an innate appreciation for subtle, feminine tailoring is what defines BettyB's S/S 2010 collection.
Betty created her first dresses using traditional apron fabrics and quickly accumulated a vast collection of vintage deadstock fabrics from local flea markets.
BettyB was born out of a quest to find the dress that she wanted to wear but could not find - a dress that possessed a practical chic, was well made and undeniably feminine. With this distinct point of view, Betty saw an opportunity to bring something new to the fashion market.
